Tragic Accident Claims Motorcyclist’s Life in Ojén

A motorcyclist died in the early hours of Tuesday, December 2, in a traffic accident in Ojén, as reported by the Emergencies 112 Andalucía.

The tragedy occurred on the A-7103 road around 03:45 hours when several witnesses alerted the coordination centre about a motorcyclist accident at kilometre 6, there is at present no evidence of other vehicles being involved.

Authorities from the Traffic Guardia Civil, Local Police, and the Emergency Health Centre 061, belonging to the Andalucían Health Service, responded to the scene. Medical teams confirmed the death of the motorcycle driver, whose identity has not been disclosed at this time.

The latest fatal accident occurred on New Year’s Eve. The victim was a 38-year-old man who died after being run over on the AP-7 as it passed through the municipality of Estepona, Malaga. Another 39-year-old man was injured in the incident, according to information from Emergencies 112 Andalusia on Sunday.

The accident took place minutes before 22:00 on Saturday at kilometre 157.400 of the AP-7, heading towards Malaga, under circumstances that have not been disclosed.

Road maintenance personnel raised the alarm to 112, which mobilised the Emergency Health Centre 061 and officers from the Guardia Civil Traffic branch.

When the medical services arrived, they could only confirm the death of a 38-year-old man in the incident. Another 39-year-old man sustained injuries but did not require transportation to a hospital.

However, this was not the only fatal collision recorded on the province’s roads in the last days of the year. Another man died after being hit by a car on the A-7, at the location of the municipality of Marbella, as reported by Emergencies 112 Andalucía and the provincial Traffic Headquarters.
