The National Police has arrested a trio of criminals accused of a series of armed robberies in Spain’s Sevilla
In a joint effort, the Guardia Civil and the National Police have successfully apprehended three individuals responsible for a series of armed robberies at service stations across the province of Sevilla, Spain.
Two of the arrested individuals were found to be notorious criminals with extensive police records, including several violent offenses. Their criminal spree unfolded during the early hours of January 20 to 21 in the towns of Bormujos, San Juan de Aznalfarache, and Mairena del Aljarafe.
The coordinated investigation between the Guardia Civil and the National Police spanned multiple police jurisdictions, aiming to elucidate the facts and identify and capture the perpetrators. The criminals, driving a previously stolen large-capacity family vehicle, executed a moon landing robbery at a service station in San Juan de Aznalfarache, stealing cash registers and all available money.
As they fled towards Mairena del Aljarafe, they attempted another robbery at a gas station, brandishing a short pistol-type weapon and threatening the clerk. Faced with resistance, they fled to a third service station in the town center, where they forcibly entered and violently robbed employees, using both the aforementioned weapon and a stolen fire extinguisher.
During the investigation, the agents discovered that two of the criminals had been caught red-handed by the Bormujos Local Police earlier that same morning while robbing a home. This crucial arrest allowed investigators to unequivocally link the individuals to one of the service station robberies that night. Subsequent investigations by both the Guardia Civil and the National Police confirmed that all the crimes were perpetrated by the same three individuals.
After months of meticulous analysis and the recovery of the stolen vehicle used in the crimes, the agents successfully arrested the three assailants, subsequently placing them at the disposal of the judicial authority.
