Its Mistletoe Misery Early Christmas Morning After Two Cars Collided Along The A-357 In Malaga

Five people were injured in a traffic accident early this morning. The incident occurred in the municipal area of the capital of Malaga, specifically on the A-357 road. The event was reported by Emergencies 112 Andalucía, a service attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue, and Administrative Simplification of the Regional Government.

At around 2:45 am, the 112 emergency line received a report from a witness, who informed about a rear-end collision between two cars at kilometre 63 of the A-357 road. Immediately, the coordination centre alerted the Traffic Police, the Emergency Health Centre 061, the Malaga Firefighters, and Road Maintenance, who responded to the scene.

Upon arriving at the accident, paramedics confirmed that two men aged 31 and 42, and three women aged 24, 38, and 66 had been injured in the collision. Finally, all five were evacuated to the Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital (El Clínico) in the capital of Malaga.

Other traffic accidents on the A-357

A few weeks ago, there was a tragic incident in the province of Malaga in Ardales on the A-357 road, where a 23-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a car.

The accident occurred around 08:45 on the A-357 road at kilometer point 20 in the decreasing direction towards Campillos. The motorcycle caught fire, and a medical helicopter from 061, the Provincial Consortium Firefighters, and the Civil Guard were mobilized, as indicated by the Coordination Center for Emergencies 112 Andalusia.

The road remained closed during the intervention of the emergency teams dispatched to the scene, and at the moment, the causes of the collision between the two vehicles are unknown. The occupant of the car, a 50-year-old woman, had to be extricated and transported by helicopter to a hospital.

In early December, a 53-year-old cyclist died in a traffic accident, as reported by Emergencies 112, a service attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue, and Administrative Simplification of the Andalusian Regional Government.

The 112 hotline received several calls, the first of them after 10:00 pm, in which citizens reported an injured cyclist on the ground on the road that leads from the Transport Centre, on the bypass of the A-7 exit to the A-357, in the capital of Malaga. The 112 dispatch immediately notified the Emergency Health Centre (CES) 061, the Local Police, and the Traffic Civil Guard.
