Storm warning for Cadiz

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) issued a yellow weather warning for the province of Cadiz due to anticipated intense rains, storms, and coastal phenomena (high waves caused by strong winds) taking place on Thursday, February 15.

According to the agency, the yellow weather warning will impact Grazalema, the Campiña, the coast, and the Strait from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Up to 15 litres per square meters an hour of rain are expected.

⚠️ Coastal Phenomena Alert

A yellow alert for coastal phenomena remains active in the strait area from 9:00 p.m. On Thursday, easterly winds of 50 to 61 kilometres per hour are expected offshore around Tarifa, the west of Tarifa and south of Gibraltar.

🌦️ Weather Outlook for Andalucia

A front will traverse Andalucia from west to east, resulting in overcast skies and moderate to locally heavy rainfall, particularly in the Strait area. Mud deposits are possible in the western third of the community.

🌡️ Temperature Forecast

Minimum temperatures will decrease along the Mediterranean coast with minimal changes elsewhere. Maximum temperatures will generally decrease, except for an increase in the interior of the eastern end.

💨 Wind Conditions

Moderate east winds are expected, stronger in the Strait and along the Atlantic coast. Winds will shift to the west in the morning, blowing strongly in the Strait and on the Atlantic coast, and moderately elsewhere.
